Emerging in 1995 as Oral Group's center for planning and design, it consisted of three professionals from the sector: Luigi Sergio, president of the Oral group, Mauro Forghieri, a name associated with important achievements for Ferrari in the world of F1 motor racing, in the role of technical director and then later on as designer for Lamborghini Engineering and Franco Antoniazzi, who in the past served as technical director for the racing division of Gilera Moto.

Oral engineering's technical office is fitted out with one of the newest generation CAD/CAM systems the PTC Pro/Engineer, which is utilised in its full capacity on the work stations, complete with all of the advanced surface and solid modelling packages available.

It boasts two motor test rooms, air-conditioned and completely automatic. Different types of eddy current brakes are available which allow braking potentials up to 1000CV with rotation regimes that can reach 18,000 g/m.

There is also a test room in which the technicians study and optimise fluid dynamics of the suction and discharge conductors, test heads with hydraulic valve controls and optimise the lubrication and cooling systems. This particular room is fitted with fast track data capture systems (up to 100Khz) and torque meters to study and assess the absorption of the motors’ single sub-systems.
